Friends’ Prep was certainly alive with the sound of music on Tuesday 2 March. After many weeks of rehearsing the Senior Drama Club, made up of pupils from P5-7 pupils, took to the stage with their production of The Sound of Music. They played to a packed hall of parents and friends. Carlie Rosbotham was simply stunning in the role of Maria whilst Bryce Brittain-Dissont was every inch the naval officer in his portrayal of Captain von Trapp.
The von Trapp children displayed immense energy as they tirelessly sang and danced their way through the show. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the performance and many in the audience admitted to shedding a tear or two! The show ended to the strains of Climb Every Mountain as the Von Trapp family left on their journey over Maria’s beloved hills and out of Austria.
