Aim:- To encourage co-operation between parents and teachers and to work for the good of the school.
There is a very active Parent Teacher Association in Friends’ School. This forms an important link between parent and teacher and between one parent and another.
Many activities are held during the year so that vital funds can be raised to purchase equipment for the Grammar School and the Preparatory Department. We thank the PTA for its continuing support.
The PTA programme for the year includes social events which are very enjoyable. All those who attend are made to feel very welcome and there is the added satisfaction of knowing that the school will benefit financially.
The PTA organises events for the pupils of the Preparatory Department so that the children can enjoy an evening out with their friends. These can include a Disco in the Spring Term for P4-P7 and a special event for all Prep pupils in the Summer term.
The PTA is a source of practical help for the teachers in the Preparatory Department when they are organising activities for the children such as Sports Days and Drama Club Performances.
A Preparatory Department Ball is held each year during the Spring or Summer term. This is a most enjoyable social event for both parents and teachers. Proceeds from the evening go towards major Preparatory Department projects.
