Parents are required to send a note to the Class Teacher when:
1. a pupil has been absent from school; 2. homework has not been completed.
Holidays during Term Time
Parents are reminded that the school cannot give permission for pupils to go on holiday during term time as each pupil is legally required to be in attendance at school for 190 days each school year (absences due to illness excepted). Holidays during term time have to be regarded as unauthorised absences. We regret that homework cannot be given for these absences as homework reflects, for the most part, daily classroom teaching.
Medical and Dental Appointments
Parents are asked not to arrange medical and dental appointments during school hours. However, we appreciate that this is not always possible when arranging urgent and hospital appointments. If pupils have reason to go out of school, parents should inform Class Teachers in writing in advance, if possible.
