Health and Safety of Pupils

A morning drive in and drop off facility is currently in operation for Prep parents.  Parents driving into school are reminded that the speed limit is 10 mph.  As parking is severely limited in the school grounds parents are asked not to park in the grounds in the morning time.  Parents / carers needing to drive in to the school grounds in the afternoon should state their case in writing to the School Bursar.   We ask you also to take care when parking on the road outside school.  There should be no stopping on “zig zag” lines or in front of the school gate.

Asthma Inhalers / Medication

All pupils using an inhaler for asthma should leave this in their classroom with the class teacher.  Parental authorisation will be required for pupils who need inhalers in school.  Written authorisation should also be provided should a pupil need medication during the school day.

Nut Allergy Information
 
On the Friends’ School Campus there are pupils who have severe allergy to nuts.  Contact with nuts could cause a severe reaction.  Consequently we would ask all parents to choose nut-free food when sending snacks into school.  Pupils may eat snacks during morning break and a ‘healthy snack’ in the afternoon. 

We have provided a list of foods below which, we have been assured, do not contain nuts or nut traces.  We very much appreciate your support and consideration to this matter.
