Wrap Around Care
Breakfast Club
A Breakfast Club runs from 8-8.30am each morning. Children are provided with orange juice, cereal, tea and toast. The cost is £1. Pupils are supervised in the Prep Department.
After School Club
After School Club runs each day from 2.00pm 5.00pm. Mrs Claire Mairs, Wrap Around Care Manager, runs the club. She is assisted each day by three further supervisors.
After School Club meets, at 2.00pm in the upstairs Resource Area for refreshments. Children are then involved in art/craft activities, book based work, modelling using play dough, educational games, computer work and outdoor activities. Homework activities may be started during this time at your request.
The cost of this after school care is, at present, £2.75 per 30 minutes or part thereof. Monthly bills are paid in arrears.
A form is sent home each month allowing parents to detail days and times children should attend the club. It may be used on a less regular basis by ringing Mrs Robinson or sending a note to Mrs Mairs, on the morning of the day you wish your child to attend.
At the end of the 3.00 pm and 3.30 pm sessions children are brought to the school gate by a supervisor. Parents collecting children after 4.00 pm are permitted to drive into the school grounds to collect their child.
An After School Summer Scheme runs for two weeks during the summer holidays. In 2010, an Education Week also took place during the summer holidays. Mrs Mairs is in charge of the summer scheme.
