The Preparatory Department is a long-established and important part of Friends’ School. It is co-educational and interdenominational. The age
of the pupils range from 4 years to 11 years. For almost fifty years the Preparatory Department resided in Prospect House, situated within the grounds of the Grammar School. In September 1996 the Preparatory Department moved into a new purpose-built building which again is
within the grounds of the Grammar School and retains the name of Prospect House
